- Wireless Communications (SC715):
This course covers wireless communications from a communications theory perspective. We will look at how to model and estimate complex time-varying channels, and how to transmit information effectively over such channels. Topics include noise and interference on multipath, fading channels; channel modeling, adaptive equalization, and channel estimation; diversity techniques; cellular and wireless LAN design issues; and current practice and research topics. Prerequisites: SC515 and graduate standing.
- Communication Systems (SC415):
This course introduces the principles of transmitting information using communication systems.
Both analog and digital communication systems are covered, with an emphasis on signal analysis, modulation design, and receiver techniques. Prerequisites: SC401 or equivalent.
