I belong to the Information Systems and Sciences (ISS) Laboratory,
the
CDC, the
Center for Computational Science, and the Center for Information and Systems Engineering (CISE). I am codirector of CISE. I am also an associate director of the National Science Foundation Engineering Research Center, the Bernard M. Gordon Center for Subsurface Sensing and Imaging Systems (CenSSIS)
My current research interests cover the following areas:
- Stochastic control
- Estimation and detection
- Combinatorial optimization and scheduling
- Inverse problems
- Subsurface imaging
I am actively involved in the IEEE Control System Society, serving in various capacities to support the Society's mission.
I am also the advisor for Boston University's Society for Hispanic Professional Engineers, a great group of students!
Prospective students: If you are interested in the above research areas, and have a strong engineering background, I recommend that you apply to our graduate program. Please do not send me emails with your resume; we only consider students that submit a full application.
